FREMONT, Neb. -- Rosemary J. Tines, 83, died Sunday (May 3, 2015), at Arbor Manor in Fremont.
She was born Sept. 14, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas, to David and Rosa (Whitman) Maspero. She grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Incarnate Word High School. She graduated from Incarnate Word College in 1952 with a degree in home economics. She married Joseph C. "Joe" Tines on May 3, 1952, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in San Antonio. The couple moved to Fremont in 1953.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont; the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Patrick's Women and played the organ for funeral masses. She served on the Bergan School Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sr. Irene Maspero.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; children, Stephen and wife, Susan Tines of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Patrick and wife, Mary Tines of Lincoln, Nebraska, Joan and husband, Lou Beccard of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Janelle and husband, Francis Gubbels of Hartington, Nebraska, Janet and husband, Stephen Ciesielski of Valley Springs, South Dakota, and Joyce and husband, Anthony Colyer of Canyon Lake, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass is Thursday, May 7, 2015, 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont with the Rev. David Belt officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont at a later date.
Vigil service with rosary is Wednesday, 7 p.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
Visitation is Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel and on Thursday at the church one hour prior to service.
Memorials may be given to Fremont Bergan Catholic Schools or St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont.
