POLK CITY, Iowa -- Kurt R. Sulzman, 42, died Thursday (April 16, 2015), at Audoubon, Iowa.

He was born Nov. 21, 1972, in Hoxie, Kansas, to Donald and Lillian (Skubal) Sulzman. He was raised in Dresden, Kansas. He attended Hoxie High School and Kansas State University.

He married Cynthia Adams on April 19, 2003, in Lenexa, Kansas. He was a field test lead for Dupont-Pioneer. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity at KSU.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Sulzman, and grandparents, Ladimir and Blanche Skubal and William and Bertha Sulzman.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Sulzman of Polk City; mother, Lillian Sulzman of Dresden; stepdaughters, Shannon and husband, Brian Oberlin of Ewa Beach, Hawaii and Allison Smith of Ewa Beach; brothers, John and wife, Shelly Truetken of Scranton, North Dakota, Ladimir and wife, Lori Truetken of Selden, Harold and wife, Pat Sulzman of Colby, Kansas, Philip Sulzman of Scranton, North Dakota, and Michael and wife, Sara Sulzman of Shawnee, Kansas; sisters-in-laws, Laura Adams of Lone Jack, Missouri and Jo Anne and husband, Dan Gabbert of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and brother-in-law, Matt and wife, Diana Adams of Lee's Summit.

Services are Monday, April 27, 2015, 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Leoville, Kansas, with the Rev. Henry Saw Lone offciating. Interment is at the Selden Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Leoville from 4-6 p.m., with a vigil service following at 6 p.m.
