McCOOK, Neb. -- Carlotta Rozina "Charlie" Thielbar, 81, passed away Tuesday (April 7, 2015), at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.

Charlie was born on April 25, 1933, in Seldon, Kansas, to parents Moritz J. and Martha A. (Simeon) Nauer.

On Dec. 10, 1951, she was united in marriage to Melvin Harold Thielbar at McCook. They made their home in McCook where Charlie was a busy mother of four children; Christopher, Pamela, Larry and Candy. Charlie also worked as a bartender and waitress for Larry's Café, Ed's Grill and the Pow Wow Club for several years until she retired.

She was an active member of the Eagle's Auxiliary #2769. She enjoyed her many friends and customers she met throughout her tenure in the restaurant business. In her free time she loved to ride motorcycles.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Moritz Nauer and Martha Hollenhors; husband, Melvin Thielbar on Dec. 28, 2014; son, Larry Edward Thielbar in 1974; brothers, Clarence Nauer and wife, Marcette, and Alex Nauer; sister, Arliss Ebert and husband, Duke; and several nephews.

Survivors include her son Christopher Thielbar of Elk City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Pamela and husband, Randy Messinger, and Candy Farr, all of McCook; sister-in-law, Joyce Price, of Norcatur, Kansas; seven grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given in her name.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Lester officiating. Inurnment will be in Riverview Cemetery, McCook, Nebraska.
