Katie Helen West and Spencer Wayne Gillen of McCook, Nebraska, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Parents of the bride-to-be are John and Cindy West of McCook. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Brad and Windy Gillen of McCook.
Grandparents of the couple are Arlene Gillen of McCook, Rich and Hilda Hampton of Culbertson, Nebraska, and Wendell and Carrie Klock of Kearney, Nebraska.
The bride-to-be graduated from McCook High School in 2010 and received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University last May. She is currently in her first year of Optometry School at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.
The prospective bridegroom also graduated from McCook High School in 2010 and attended two years of college at Nebraska Christian College in Papillion, Nebraska.
A June wedding is planned in McCook.
