COLBY, Kansas -- Chauncey Dewey Jr. 86, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society in Atwood, Kansas.

He was born May 23, 1928, in Denver, Colorado.

He was a retired rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sons, Robert and Jack.

Survivors include his wife, Deanna of rural Rawlins County, Kansas; children, Charles and wife, Debbie Dewey of Colby and Laura and Richard Payne of Mount Vernon, Missouri; brothers, Otis Dewey of McDonald, Kansas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services are Monday, March 23, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel in Colby, Kansas, with Dale Hudson officiating. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

There is no visitation.

Memorials may be given in his name to the McDonald Ambulance Fund in care of Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel.
