MAX, NEB. -- Gary James "Spike" McAdams, 64, died Feb. 24, 2015.

He was born in Lexington, Nebraska, to James Monroe and Arlene Velma (Peden) McAdams. He grew up in Cozad, Nebraska, and graduated from Cozad High School in 1969. He married Deborah Berryman in 1982; they later divorced.

He worked for the Lincoln Parks Department in Lincoln, Nebraska, the Lancaster County Roads Department in Pleasantdale, Nebraska, and the Benkelman Golf Course, Benkelman, Nebraska.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, James and Arlene McAdams and sister, Connie McAdams Jacobson.

Survivors include his former wife, Deb McAdams; niece, Tanya Jacobson and a host of friends.

Memorial services are Saturday, May 23, 2015, 12 noon at his home north of Max, Nebraska.

Cremation was chosen.
