Alien invasion

Thursday, March 5, 2015

So Hubby and I have something very serious to share. It involves the safety and livelihood of all humans. We're pretty sure, based on some goings on at our house, that aliens from another planet are coming. Not today and I'm not exactly sure when, but soon!

We're basing our assumptions on one of our very favorite movies, Signs, by M. Night Shyamalan.

If you haven't seen it, then I suggest you rent it. In this movie, the main character's little girl is constantly leaving glasses of water over the house drank to different levels.

There are other signs the other characters are experiencing too, but no in the movie knows why the little girl won't finish her water ... until the day the aliens arrive. The water ends up burning the aliens skin like acid would to ours so all the half empty glasses of water sitting around there house are thrown on the alien to protect the humans in the family.

Well, this whole drink thing has been happening in our house for a long time now and Hubby finally realized the other night what it is, it has to be signs!

Signs that the aliens are coming. Just like the girl in the movie, our girls must be subconsciously leaving half drank water bottles all over our house to protect us. Now, I'm gathering that our 15 year old must be the primary protector and must have the room the aliens will eventually end up in because on any given day, there are easily 10-12 half-drunk water bottles, most without lids randomly placed around her room.

She doesn't know it, but she is going to save our family from extinction or worse, alien abduction!

The younger two girls are doing their best to prepare us too, because they have two or three half empty water bottles on the nightstand they share, as well as some in both the living and family room, as well as on the kitchen counter. They even have a half a dozen in each of their backpacks and sports bags. These aliens aren't gonna get too far in our house without a major splash!

And if the aliens think they'll get us while we're driving, they're mistaken. My girls have protected us from that too! Last time I checked, there were at least one or two barely drank water bottles in the back seat pockets and in two or three in random cup holders. Plus, if I had to guess, I bet there are another couple rolling around under the seats.

Here all along I thought my three girls were being wasteful and lazy, but little did I know that they were preparing our family for a fight, the fight for our lives against a more intelligent species.

I know they don't even realize what they've been doing by leaving little safety mechanisms around but subconsciously they are protecting our home and our livelihood.

So instead of nagging them all the time, or pouring all their leftover water into my plants, I'm gonna leave all those half empty water bottles sitting right in their designated locations so when the aliens invade, I'm ready!

Thank you girls! I had no idea!
