HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- Lindinburge "Lindy" Emery, age 86, of Hot Springs, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1928, in Rawlins County, Kansas, the son of Christian Angermeir and Gertrude Emery Angermeir. On Sept. 8, 1953, he was married to Mae Lorraine Morosic, who was born in Red Willow County.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Carroll Styles.
Lindy was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as a supervisor in construction until his retirement. He was a member of the Lake Hamilton Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Blinded Veterans Association and was president of the Lions Club in Lyndon, Kansas and Hot Springs. Lindy was a very giving man, a fun person to be around, and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lorraine Emery of Hot Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Kim Emery of Decatur, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janeen and Tim Boettger of Hot Springs and Linda and Alan Skeet of Whitesboro, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Brock, Brooklyn, Bret, Lindsay, Allison, Holly, Summer, Mandy, April, and Amy; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, George and Cheryl Angermeir of San Jose, California; one sister, Daisy Styles of Omaha, Nebraska; numerous extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, in the Lake Hamilton Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Duawn Mearns officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Davidson, Sam Smith, Rudy Thornton, Wayne Patterson, Mike Bonnette, John McGoon, Bill Leach, Sug Wilson, and Bob Gudinas.
