ARAPAHOE, Neb. -- Kristi L. Carnes, age 34, and her infant daughter, Madysn Faye Harmon of Arapahoe, died Thursday (Jan. 8, 2015), at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, Nebraska.

Krisit was born June 5, 1980, in Oxford, Nebraska, to Loren D. and Dianne F. (Coffman) Carnes.

Kristi grew up in Edison, Nebraska, and graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1998. After high school, she attended Central Community College in Hastings and received a degree in graphic design. She worked in Omaha, Nebraska, as a graphic designer. She moved back to Edison and attended school at Joseph College of Beauty in Kearney, Nebraska. She moved to Arapahoe and worked at Becton-Dickinson Company in Holdrege, Nebraska, where she met Christopher "Toph" Harmon. They were engaged and planned to be married in July. She become pregnant with a daughter, Madysn Faye Harmon, who was due in February. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe.

They were preceded in death by her grandparents; and her uncle, Timothy Coffman.

They are survived by her fiancée and father, Christopher "Toph" Harmon of Arapahoe; sons and brothers, Keeghan and Kaden of Arapahoe; father, mother and grandparents, Loren and Dianne Carnes of Edison; brother and uncle, Mark and wife, Holly Carnes of Kearney; future mother and father-in-law and grandparents, Mike and Gloria Harmon of Arapahoe, Nebraska; numberous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Viewing and visitation is Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe.

Funeral services are Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. James Moshier officiating. Interment will be at Edison Cemetery at Edison.
