GOODLAND, Kan. -- Lee Andrew Amsberry, 86, died Monday (Jan. 5, 2015), at Good Samaritan Society in Goodland.

He was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Cheyenne County, Kansas. He was a service station owner and farmhand.

Survivors include his wife, Doris (Miller) Amsberry of Goodland; son, Kent Amsberry of Bellevue, Washington; sisters, Darlene Brubaker of Bird City, Kansas, and Dorothy Hammers of Englewood, Colorado; and two grandchildren.

Services are Saturday Jan. 10, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Bird City. Burial will follow at the Bird City Cemetery with the The Air Force Honor Guard performing a military graveside service.

Visitation is Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, from 1-7 p.m. at Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis, Kansas, with family greeting friends from 3-5 p.m.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Bird City Senior Center or to the American Cancer Society.
