WAUNETA, Neb. -- Gary DeWester,70, longtime Wauneta resident, died Tuesday (Nov. 4, 2014), at Sunrise Heights Nursing Home in Wauneta.

Survivors include his mother, Wynona Springer of Benkelman, Nebraska; wife, Jan DeWester of Wauneta; children, Michelle Harchelroad and husband, Brian of Wauneta, Teresa Wynn and husband, David of Owasso, Oklahoma and Chad DeWester and wife, Jennifer of Wauneta; sister, Carla Fassler of Culbertson, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Anita Wilson and husband, Laddie of Olathe, Kanas and seven grandchildren

Services are Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, 11 a.m. (CT), at Hamlet Union Church in Hamlet, Nebraska with the Rev. J.R. Kline officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be given to Wauneta EMTs and Wauneta Senior Center.
