McCOOK, Neb. -- With gratitude to God, Glenna J. White, 87, passed away peacefully. She is at peace, whole again and in a better and safer place.

Her funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. at McCook Christian Church with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

Glenna was born in Butte, Montana, on May 31, 1927, to Alvin and Jewel (Lansdale) Smith. She graduated from East High School in Denver in 1944. She graduated from Pasadena Nazarene College in Pasadena, California, in 1948. She married Ed White on Dec. 21, 1950, in Denver, Colorado. The couple was married for 53 years.

Glenna was a member of the Denver First Church of the Nazarene. She loved to cook and bake, garden, knit and spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed and two brothers, Alvin and Fredrick Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Ellen and husband, Dan Rempel; four granddaughters, Diane Chang, Kim Rempel, Julie and John Paz and Cristy and Luke Schwartz; along with nine great-grandchildren.
