WILSONVILLE, Neb. -- Chris E. Lang, age 62, died at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Arapahoe, Nebraska, on Nov. 3, 2014.

He was born in Norton, Kansas, on Nov. 2, 1952, to Edmond and Lelia (Orvis) Lang. Chris attend school in Wilsonville, graduating from Wilsonville High School in 1971.

Chris worked in the filling station in Wilsonville for several years. He traveled with a custom harvest crew from southern Kansas to the Canadian border cutting wheat, then corn harvest in the fall. He worked for several farmers in the area. In the late 1980s, Chris's health took a turn and he was diagnosed with MS.

Chris lived in Wilsonville. Chris was known in Wilsonville for his smile and his big tricycle he rode. He enjoyed hunting deer and was very proficient collecting several trophy deer. Chris was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Wilsonville Methodist Church. Chris had been a resident at the CA Mues Good Samaritan Home in Arapahoe for the past six years.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Lelia Lang.

He is survived by his sister, Karen Lafler of Kalispell, Montana; two brothers, Mike and wife, Roxy Lang of Wilsonville and Kent Lang of Kearney; two nephews, Jeremy and Vicki Lang of McCook and Nic Lang of Moore, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be at the Wilsonville Christian --Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Becky Saddler officiating. Interment will be in the Wilsonville Cemetery.

Visitation will be today and Friday at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge from 9 to 6 p.m. Condolences or personal reflections maybe left at lockeneour.com.
