ARAPAHOE, Neb. -- Carol I. Haussler, 86, died Thursday (Oct. 30, 2014), at CA Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.

She was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Gosper County to Carl and Leana (Hilker) Menze.

She graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1945. She married Robert Haussler in 1947 and they farmed on the family farm.

She worked at the CA Mues Good Samaritan Nursing Home for 29 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry and Brice Menze.

Survivors include her children,Michael Haussler of Arapahoe, Steven Haussler of Axtell, Nebraska, and Merrie Nickel of Kearney, Nebraska; brother, Don and wife, Freda Menze of Hutchinson, Kansas; sisters, Audre Haussler of Arapahoe and Judy Huxoll of Holbrook, Nebraska; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services are Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe Nebraska, with the Rev. James Moshier officiating. Interment is at St. Matthew's Cemetery at Arapahoe.

Viewing and visitation is today until 8 p.m.at Wenburg Funeral Home and prior to the service at the church.
