OBERLIN, Kan. -- Marguerite E. 88, died Thursday (Oct. 23, 2014), at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.

She was born Dec. 11, 1925, in Cedar Bluffs, Kansas, to Edgar and Mable (Colwell) Kennedy. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1943.

She lived in Jennings, Kansas, until 2004, then she moved to Oberlin.

She married Elmoin Bailey on March 30, 1947, in Oberlin. She was a member of Jennings United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Robert "Jimmy," Alfred and Jerry Kennedy; and son-in-law, Ralph Hejny.

Survivors include her children, Mike and wife, Vickie Bailey of Jennings and Marcia and husband, Wayne Kroft of Grand Junction, Colorado; brother, Ray Kennedy of Oberlin; five grandchldren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services are Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at Jennings United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lyn Linde officiating. Interment is at the Jennings Cemetery,

Visitation is Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Saturday after 8 a.m. at the church in Jennings.

Memorials may be given to Jennings United Methodist Church or Cedar Living Center.
