OBERLIN, Kan. -- Dorothy E. Snyder Hunt, 94, died Tuesday (Oct. 21, 2014,) at Decatur County Good Samaritan Society in Oberlin.

She was born May 18, 1920, in rural Norcatur, Kansas, to Silas Willard and Venie Belle (Moler) Hessenflow. She attended Prairie Belle and Prairie View district schools in Decatur County.

She married Clifford L. Snyder Oct. 1, 1940, in Densmore, Kansas. She later married Lee A. Hunt June 30, 1979 in Oberlin.

She was a farm wife, school bus driver and worked at Decatur Good Samaritan Center and Decatur County Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Ron Snyder; son-in-law, Jim Marshall; great-grandson, Evan Currant; two brothers and their wives, Charles and Pearl Hessenflow and J.W. "Junior" and JoAnn Hessenflow; and brother-in-law, Eldon Black.

Survivors include her daughter, Reva Marshall of Oberlin; daughter-in-law, Dixie Snyder of Colby, Kansas; sister, Mildred Black of Oberlin; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

Services are Saturday, Oct. 25, 2015, 2 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home with Dale Snyder officiating. Interment is at the Norcatur Cemetery in Norcatur.

Memorials may be given to the Decatur County Good Samaritan Society for Alzheimer's Education.
