BRUCE, S.D. -- Brian E. Cochran, age 37, of Bruce, South Dakota, died as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Oct. 11, 2014.
He was born in Cambridge, Nebraska, on Dec. 2, 1976, to Edward and Donna K. (Hansen) Cochran. Brian grew up in Bartley attending school and graduating from Bartley High School in 1995. He joined the U.S. Air Force after graduation. Upon his discharge, he attended McCook Community College for a short time.
Brian was employed by several local business, before attending the Iowa Lakes Community College where he receive a degree in Wind Turban Technology. He was currently employed by the Valero Renewable Energy facility in Brookings, South Dakota.
Brian enjoyed spending time with his two sons, Logan and Skyler. He liked to hunt goose and deer and fish, especially walleye.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ernest Cochran.
Brian is survived by his two sons, Logan of Brookings, South Dakota and Skylar of Bruce, South Dakota; fiancé, Bonnie Bilstein of Bruce, South Dakota; parents, Donna and husband, Dan Chambers and Ed and wife, Terri Cochran all of Bartley, Nebraska; brother, Dale and wife, Ann Catherine of Springfield, Virginia; sister, Marissa Chambers of Bartley; grandparents, Marie Cochran and Lyle and Patricia Hansen, all of Bartley, along with many aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge with interment in the Bartley Cemetery
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct.15, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friends may leave on-line condolences at lockenour.com.
A memorial has been established for the welfare and education of his two sons, Skyler and Logan.
