McCook College Foundation sponsors more than $50,000 in financial aid

McCOOK,Neb. -- Students enrolled at McCook Community College for the Fall 2014 semester have been awarded more than $51,420 in student financial aid for academic year 2014-15, sponsored by the McCook College Foundation and a number of individuals and organizations.

Students awarded Foundation Board designated and donor specified scholarships are incoming freshmen, returning sophomores, and MCC 2014 graduates continuing their education at University of Nebraska Lincoln, University of Northern Colorado, and Fort Hays State University. Area students receiving awards include:

The McCook College Foundation also awards financial aid to students enrolled in a bachelor degree program with Bellevue University, Fort Hays State University and Chadron State College through McCook Community College. This Advanced Studies support is sponsored by the Volentine Family Foundation to honor Myatt W. and Mary Genevieve Volentine.

The Foundation's sponsorship of student scholarships is possible because of the generosity and commitment of donors who support educational opportunities at McCook Community College through donations to the McCook College Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation founded solely to provide funding for students and MCC programs and activities, and all donations are tax-deductible.
