GARDEN CITY, Kan. -- Ronald R. Decker, 63, died Tuesday, Sept.30, 2014, at his home in Garden City.

He was born June 21, 1951, in Imperial, Nebraska, the son of Harold L. and Shirley (Follett) Decker. A resident of Garden City since 1985, he was a stocker for Wal-Mart and a U.S. Navy veteran.

On June 19, 1971, he married Barbara Jean Myers in McCook, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Grabast; a daughter, Robin Schaefer and a grandson, Benjamin Scott Gaines.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Myers of McCook; daughters, Brenda Decker and Claudia Cardenas of Garden City; parents, Harold and Sonja Decker of McCook; brothers, Dennis Decker Sr. of McCook, Dennis Grabast of Omaha, Nebraska, and Doug Decker of New Jersey; sister, Kathie Connell of Missouri; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, 11 a.m. at the Eagles Lodge in Garden City, Kansas. Inurnment is Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, 9 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in McCook, Nebraska.

There is no visitation.
