CAMBRIDGE, Neb. -- Amber Nicole Newcomb, age 37, of Cambridge, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.
She was born in Cambridge on Jan. 17, 1977, to Ed Newcomb and Judy (Thompson) Mousel. Amber graduated from Cambridge High School and attended Mid Plains Community College in North Platte.
Amber was a very kind and gentle soul who had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to and helping others. She was employed at various nursing homes, Alliance Public Schools and most recently, McCook Public Schools as a paraprofessional. She enjoyed spending time with her Pomeranian and most loyal companion, Joey. She also loved cheering on the Nuggets and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Amber's life dealt her many hardships, but she always found strength to meet each day with a smile and accepted each challenge gracefully. With Amber's passing, we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, especially her kind heart and winning smile, she will forever remain in our hearts.
