McCOOK, Neb. -- Darlene G. Carr Markwith, age 75, of McCook, born April 30, 1939, in Ottawa, Kansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 12, 2014.

She is survived by her husband, Jay R. Markwith Sr. who she married on Aug. 29, 1957. She is also survived by her daughter, Vicki Lynn Scott and her husband, Darwin G. Scott of McCook, their six children, Adam J. Scott of McCook, Amber G. Scott of Kearney, Nebraska, Bobbi Scott and her boyfriend, Andy Gillen; great- grandchildren, Zoe and Riliegh Carson and Kaleb Gillen of McCook, Daniel J. Scott of McCook, Hannah N. Scott of McCook and Jonathan P. Scott of Goodland, Kansas. She is also survived by Jay R. Markwith Jr. "Russ" and his son, Josh Markwith and girlfriend, Savannah Rogers and their son, Phoenix of McCook; her sister, LaDema Higbie of Wellsville, Kansas; her brother, Duane R. Carr of Arkansas; many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved very much.

As per her wishes, she was cremated. There will be a memorial service pending notification of family.
