OBERLIN, Kansas --DeeAnna E. Krizek, 77, died Saturday (Aug. 9, 2014), at Decatur Health Systems in Oberlin.
She was born April 7, 1937, to Gordon and Esther (Leitner) Rathbun in Oberlin. She grew up in Traer and Oberlin. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1955.
She married Bennie Krizek on Aug. 4, 1957, in Oberlin. She lived on the family farm north of Jennings, Kansas.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, Decatur Amusement Authority and Decatur Saddle Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Esther (Leitner) Rathbun; husband, Bennie Krizek; brother, Gary Rathbun; and sister, Dixie Goltl.
Survivors include sons, Dave and wife, Paula Krizek of Jennings and Tony and wife, Michelle Krizek of Great Bend, Kansas; daughter, Mary and husband, Lonnie McEvoy of Oberlin; brother, Larry and wife, Jackie Rathbun of McCook, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Wayne Goltl of Oberlin; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, 10 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Burkhardt officiating. Interment is at Big Timber Cemetery in rural Jennings.
Visitation is Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. on Wednesday,
Memorials may be given to Big Timber Cemetery, Cedar Living Center, or donor's choice.
