Genevieve 'June' Vavroch

OBERLIN, KAN. -- Genevieve "June" Vavroch, 85, died Saturday (Aug. 2, 2014) in Hays, Kansas.

She was born June 26, 1926, in Oberlin to Glen and Emma (Urban) Waldo. She grew up on a farm west of Oberlin.

She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1947. She married Fred Vavroch on May 17, 1953, in Oberlin.

She lived on a farm southeast of Oberlin. She later moved to Oberlin in 2006 and then to Hays.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Fred Vavroch.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Dreher and husband, Darrell, Hays; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, 11 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Interment is at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday, 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 8 a.m. until service time.

Memorials may be given to the Jennings Fire Department and Jennings United Methodist Church.
