IMPERIAL, Neb. -- Gene Moreland, 90, died Monday (July 21, 2014), at Imperial Manor Nursing Home in Imperial.

Survivors include his children, Kathy and husband, Butch Loring, Jodi and husband, Lex Thompson and Pat Schoenfelder, Mike and wife, Jane Moreland, all of Imperial and Kerry and husband, Britt German of Cozad, Nebraska; sister, Barbara McNair of Imperial; brother-in-law, Ed and wife, Dorothy Porter of Sioux City, Iowa; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m.. (MT), Thursday, July 24, 2014, at United Methodist Church of Imperial with the Revs. Todd Burpo and Phil Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial with full military honors.

Visitation is today, July 23, 2014, until 6 p.m. (MT) at the funeral home in Imperial.

A memorial has been established to the Imperial Lion's Club.
