McCOOK, Neb. -- Dana Gary Dack passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at his home in McCook unexpectedly.

Dana was born March 18, 1959, to Robert Francis and Betty Louise (Burton) Dack at St. Catherine's Hospital, McCook. He attended McCook schools and graduated from McCook High School in 1978.

He was employed over 25 years with the hose plant as a baling inspector. On Feb. 2, 1985, he married Julie Ann Krueger at Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings, Nebraska. To this union two children were born, Natasha Lynn and Brandon Alan. He later married Selena Tolman and one child, Natalie Rachelle, was born.

Dana's life was his work. He enjoyed family, biking, camping, NASCAR and Husker football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Betty Dack; wife, Julie; brother, Bill Dack; sister, Jana Biltoft and grandchildren, Kiley and Kaden.

He is survived by his children, daughter, Natasha Lynn Dack (James Duffy) of Guide Rock, Nebraska, son, Brandon Alan Krueger and fiancé, Jennifer Goff and her son, Laikyn Goff of Kenesaw, Nebraska, daughter, Natalie Rachelle and husband, Matt Schultz of Topeka, Kansas; step-daughter, Lyndi Kay Dack of Hastings and grandchildren, Shawn, Zara and Sophie Dack-Loudon of Guide Rock, Nebraska; brother, Robert Dack of Central City, Nebraska; sisters-in-law, Shirley Dack and Sherrie Dack of McCook, and brother-in-law, Lynn Biltoft, along with numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and extended family.

Memorials may be given in his name.

Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Doug Griger officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
