TRENTON, Neb. -- Arline Margret (Myers) Richardson was born July 24, 1920, in Sutton, Nebraska, to Jens Rasmussen (of Denmark) and Pauline (Pfiester) Rasmussen. She was raised near the Stratton-Trenton area by her parents, Pauline (Pfiester) Myers and Archie Pete Myers, and was the oldest of nine siblings. She completed her 8th grade education and began working outside the home.
In 1946, she married William (Bill) Melton Richardson Jr. of Pryor, Oklahoma. The couple met when Bill worked a harvest crew in the local area and after they married, Bill worked the Enders Dam project and later the couple travelled with a local carnival. The couple made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Palisade, Nebraska, where Arline has resided for the last 27 years.
Arline is well known in the local area for her gardening skills and took great pride in her yard full of flowers. She was an active and long standing member of Hamlet Union Church.
Arline passed away Thursday morning, July 10, 2014, at the El Dorado Nursing Home in Trenton, Nebraska. She was 93 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents and nine siblings.
Survivor sinclude Phyllis Wood, of California; Catina Richardson of Palisade, Nebraska; Angel Smith, husband, Cody Smith, and children, Alyna and John William Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Darrell Christian and children, Peyton and Darrell Christian Jr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Crystal Christian and parents of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Donald Myers and wife, Charolette Myers of Hamlet Nebraska; and numerous extended family members.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning, July 17, 2014, 10:30 a.m.. (CT) at the Hamlet Union Church of Hamlet, Nebraska, with Pastor Kevin McGraw officiating. Interment will follow at the Palisade Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday morning, July 17, 2014, before services.
A memorial has been established to the Hamlet Union Church of Hamlet, Nebraska.
