SELDEN, Kan. -- Anna Frances Albers, 82. died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Sheridan County LTCU in Hoxie, Kansas.

She was born Aug. 24, 1931, to John and Francisca (Lang) Haffner in Quinter, Kansas. She grew up southeast of Hoxie, Nebraska.

She lived on a farm northwest of Selden and moved to Selden in 1992, then to Sheridan CountyHealth Complex LTCU in 2012.

She married Alfred A. Albers on Nov. 23, 1949, in Park, Kansas. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Adam, Joe, Ray, Steve, Lambert and John Haffner; four sisters, Mary Rohling, Theresia Schlick, Vera Schlick, and Johanna Eberle; and a grandson, Bryar Toll.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred Albers of Selden; sons, Alfred of Selden, Fredrick of Rexford, Bernard of Selden, Michael and wife, Penny of Peidmont, Oklahoma, and Ronald and wife, Bernice of Cottonwood Falls; daughters, Ann and husband, James Johnson of Littleton, Colorado, Donna and husband, John Gerstner of Hill City, Mary and husband, William Swann of Littleton, Colorado, Marjorie and husband, Edward Wagoner of Newcastle, Wyoming, Geraldine and husband, Todd Toll of Morland, Shirley and husband, David Niermeier of Hoxie, Patricia and husband, Richard Summers of Colby and Victoria and husband, Steve Bailey of Chatfield, Minnesota; sister, Elizabeth Miller of Hays; sisters-in-law, Joyce Haffner of Newton and Mary Haffner of Abilene, Texas; 29 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 26 great- grandchildren.

Services are Thursday, July 24, 2014, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Selden with the Revs. Mark Berland and. Bill Surmeier officiating.

Visitation is Wednesday, July 23, 2014, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the funeral home in Selden and 6-8 p.m. at the church with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at the church.
