OBERLIN, Kan. -- Wilma M. May, 87, died Monday (June 30, 2014), at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin,

She was born Dec. 31, 1926, to Walter W. and Elsie J. (Humes) Wurm in rural Herndon, Kansas. She attended Lonely Valley District 39 school and Herndon High School. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and LWML.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elsie (Humes) Wurm; husband, Elbert May; brothers, Donald and Eugene Wurm; and niece, Jeann Ann Pollom.

Survivors include children, Elwood and wife, Jeanie May of Oberlin, David May of McCook, Nebraska, Connie and husband, Jerry Olson of Oberlin and Eunice and husband, John Andrews of Perry, Georgia; brother, Lester and wife, Kay Wurm of Lenexa; sister, Neta and husband, Allen Jeffus of Topeka, six grandchildren and seven grandchildren.

Services are Saturday, July 15, 2014, 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Oberlin with the Rev. Brad Rick officiating. Interment is at Oberlin Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
