ATWOOD, Kansas -- Margaret Loretta (Sullivan) Pianalto died May 6, 2014 at Atwood.
She was born Aug. 19, 1940, to Justin and Loretta (Burns) Sullivan. She attended St. Peter's Catholic School in Mercier, Kansas and graduated from Mount St. Scholastica Academy in Atchison, Kansas, in 1958.
She married John Pianalto on Nov. 22, 1958. She was a homemaker and operated Sweet Pea Gardening and the Dairy Barn Hunting Lodge.
She was a member of Sacred Heart parish in Atwood, the Sacred Heart Altar Society, and for 10 years was a volunteer at the Atwood Recycling Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2004; her parents; eight brothers, Paul, Gilbert, Leo, Tom, Jim, Charles, Dan and Terry, and one sister, Maureen Ruggles.
Survivors include children, Denis and wife, Barb of Wichita, Kansas, Rich and wife, Lori of Atwood, Gerald of Denver, Colorado, Maurice and wife, Pam of Whitesburg, Tennessee, David of Phoenix, Arizona, and Judy and husband, Mark Dean of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were May 15, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Atwood. Inurnment was at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Atwood.

Baalmann Funeral Home in Atwood is in charge of arrangements.
