Margaret 'Odessa' Washburn Treat

GOTHENBURG, Nebraska --Margaret "Odessa" Washburn Treat, 86, of Gothenburg, formerly of North Platte, Nebraska, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg with her loving children surrounding her.
Odessa was born May 13, 1927, to Garnett and Ella Lovina Vise Washburn at Wilsonville, Nebraska. She attended school at Wilsonville and graduated from Wilsonville High School in 1945.
On August 5, 1945, Odessa was united in marriage to Dee Lee Treat at Wilsonville, where they made their home. To this union five children, Caraleen, Margaret, Deetta, Mary and Orlan, were born. They farmed in Wilsonville until 1971, when they moved to North Platte.
Odessa was a member of the Methodist Church and then after her marriage became a member of the First Baptist Church in Wilsonville and North Platte. She was also a member of the Calvary Assembly Church in North Platte and attended the Evangelical Free Church in Gothenburg.
Survivors include her children, Caraleen (Randy) Burton, of Bellevue, Nebraska, Margaret (David) Ruf, of Wilsonville, Deetta (Randall) Isackson, of Gothenburg, Mary (Bert) Fitzpatrick, of Colorado Springs and Orlan (Chawna) Treat, of North Platte; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Odessa was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Lee; her parents, Garnett and Ella Washburn; a sister, Audrey Washburn; brothers, Gerald and Arrice; a sister-in-law, Hannah Washburn; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at the Evangelical Free Church in Gothenburg. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Wilsonville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore.
