McCOOK, Nebraska -- Ruby I. Taylor, 84, died Wednesday (March 19, 2014) at the Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska.

She was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Oberlin, Kansas, to Glenn and Lora (Hunsaker) Heller.

She married William D. Taylor and the couple lived in Ravenna, Nebraska, where she worked at Safeway and later at the Grand Island Ammunition Depot. She moved to McCook in 1972, where she worked at Electric Hose and Rubber, now Parker-Hannifin, until her retirement.

She was a resident at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Glenda Conney, Maxine Mockry, Bonnie Bethel; and brother, Daughn Heller.

Survivors include her son, David L. Taylor and wife, Joann of Superior, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Tracy Page and husband Nick of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jesse Taylor and wife Tiffany of Denver, Colorado; great-grandaughter, Kenley Taylor; sister, Roxie Tuller of McCook; and sister-in-law Judy Heller.
