Virginia Sue Banzet

OBERLIN, Kansas -- Virginia Sue Banzet, 75, died Thursday (March 20, 2014) at Decatur Health Systems in Oberlin.
She was born Jan. 9, 1939, in Norcatur, Kansas, to Clarence N. Temple and Edith E. Wiggins. She grew up in Norcatur and graduated from Norcatur High School.
She was a homemaker and resided in Norton, Kansas, Hill City, Kansas and Oberlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edith Temple; brothers, Harold, Richard, Golden and Clarence Temple; sisters, Vada Bishop, Velma Schoenfelder, Vera Hoppas and a baby sister at birth.
Survivors include her husband, Darroll Banzet of Oberlin; son, Clarence Banzet and wife Paula of Mullinville; daughter, Virginia Ann Harshbarger of Mead, Washington; sister-in-law, Georgia Lee Temple of Norton; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services are Monday, March 24, 11 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Chris and Sharon Nelson officiating. Interment will be in the Norcatur Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, 1-8 p.m., and Monday after 8 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the COPD Foundation and Alzheimer's Association.
