CONCORDIA, Kansas -- Donald E. Lawson, age 76, of Concordia, Kansas, formerly of Norcatur, Kansas, died Feb. 14, 2014, at Mount St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Concordia, Kansas.

He was born on the family farm near Norcatur, Kansas, on July 12, 1937, to Earl E. and Maleta Lawson. Don graduated from Oberlin High School.

Don married Charlotte Uhlrich and to this union two sons were born, Doug and Steve.

Don farmed most of his life near Norcatur until his health failed. He moved to a nursing home close to his sons.

Memorial services will be Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in McCook, Nebraska, with Pastor Steve Bales officiating. Inurnment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery in Oberlin, Kansas.

Memorials may be left in his name at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook.

Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
