McCOOK, Nebraska -- Patricia Ann Bath, age 82 of McCook, Nebraska, died at the Cambridge Manor in Cambridge, Nebraska, on Feb. 13, 2014. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on Sept. 20, 1931, to Clyde and Elizabeth Ida (Downing) Thomas.
On June 29, 1951, she was united in marriage to Leonard Bath. Due to Leonard's work with the railroad, the couple moved from Colorado, and finally to McCook for a permanent home in 1961.
Patricia was active in her church and her community. She served as a Girl Scout leader, served on the Red Willow County Board of Elections and on the PTA. Patricia enjoyed China painting, needlework, such as tatting, crocheting, and embroidery. She enjoyed her grandchildren, doing daycare for her daughter. She enjoyed camping and traveling. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church and a member of the WML.
Patricia was preceded by her parents; step-father, Joseph W. Staley and a step-sister, Sandy Parks.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard of McCook; two daughters, Lori and husband, Gary Metzger of Holbrook, Nebraska and Kristi and husband, Gerald Novak of McCook; four grandchildren, Amanda, Brian, Jeff and Kyle; three great-grandchildren, Derek, Dalton and Rheanna Metzger; and sister, Barbara and husband, Zane Snow of Lakewood, Colorado.
Funeral services will be on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church in McCook with Pastor Tom Albertson officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left in her name to the McCook Humane Society or the Alzheimer's research. Visitation will be on Friday, from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Friends may leave on-line condolences at herrmannfh.com
