IMPERIAL, Nebraska -- Marvin Maris, 83, died Friday (Jan. 17, 2014), at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Maris of Imperial; children, Janeen Hlavka and husband, Rod of Gregory, South Dakota and Roger Maris and wife, Elizabeth of Wauneta, Nebraska; sister, Ilo Mosiman and husband, Wayne of Valley Center, Kansas; brother, Leyland Maris and wife, Sharon of Wauneta; brother-in-law, John Pursley of Stratton, Nebraska; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Rowley of Imperial, Marsleen Wilkinson of North Platte, Nebraska and Lila Schwarts of Ogallala, Nebraska, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:30 P.M. (CT), Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Eden Cemetery, rural Wauneta, with the Rev. Lloyd Bley officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Fellowship of Christian Farmers.
