CULBERTSON, Nebraska -- Darcie Leigh Zuck of Culbertson passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Community Hospital in McCook. She was 40 years old.

Darcie and her twin sister, Kristie, were born on March 8, 1973, in McCook to parents Herbert "Herb" E. Zuck and Pamela "Pam" R. (Myers) Fraker. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in Oberlin, Kansas, in 1992.

Darcie was employed by Wal-Mart Vision Center as an optician. She enjoyed sports, still holding the record for discus at Decatur Community High School. Other pastimes of Darcie included listening as well as karaoke singing all kinds of music; cooking, often making her own recipes; having a love of animals; and spending time with her family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her brother; Brett Fraker; paternal grandparents, Leonard Zuck, Betty and Joe Cuellar and maternal grandparents, Loren and Hazel Myers; and an aunt, Nelda Grim.

Survivors include her daughter, Jayda Zuck of Culbertson; fiancé, Greg Dempewolf of Culbertson; mother, Pam Fraker of McCook; father, Herb Zuck of McCook; step-father, Mark Fraker and wife, Cathy, of Oberlin, Kansas; twin sister, Kristie and husband, Adam Cunningham, of McCook and sister, Melissa and husband, Kristopher Mathews of Omaha; grandparents, Robert and Marian Fraker of Oberlin; aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Memorials may be given in her name.

Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, 1-8 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home. Friends may go online at www.carpenterbreland.com to extend condolences to the family.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, 2 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Mike Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
