IMPERIAL, Nebraska -- Farris Bernard, 81, died Tuesday (Jan. 7 , 2014), at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

Survivors include children, Vickie Beard and husband, Burton, of Champion, Nebraska and Elaine Nelson and husband, Craig, of Hayes Center, Nebraska; brother, Stanley Davison and wife, Betty, of Garden City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Dwayne Newman of Holdrege, Nebraska; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, 11 a.m. (MT) at the First United Methodist Church of Imperial with Rev. Valera Heydenberk officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.

There is no public visitation.
