BENKELMN, Nebraska -- Verle Behlke, a longtime resident of Benkelman, died Saturday (Dec. 21, 2013), at the Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman. She was 94 years old.

Survivors include son, Ted Behlke and wife, Maureen of Benkelman; brother, Marlin Baney of Evans, Colorado; sister-in-law, Barbara Baney of Benkelman; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services are 1:30 P.M. (MT), Thursday Dec. 26, 2013, at United Methodist Church of Benkelman with the Rev. Sheila Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Benkelman Cemetery in Benkelman.

The casket will be open for viewing prior to services and Thursday morning, Dec. 26, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (MT) at the United Methodist Church in Benkelman.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
