SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- Rosalie B. Corey died Nov. 22, 2013.

She was born April 11, 1915, at Spring Glen, Utah, to Joseph and Carolina (Carrera) Bonza. After losing her mother at the age of three, Rosalie was raised by her Italian immigrant grandparents, Carlo Carrera and Rosa Pessetto on their farm in Helper, Utah. She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in elementary education.

She married Sam Corey in 1939. She taught for 32 years in Kenilworth and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Surviviors include sons, Richard and wife, Marleen Corey of Jenison, Michigan, and Gerald and wife, Rosemary Corey of Culbertson, Nebraska; daughters, Geraldine and husband, John Dudley and Joann and husband, Bill Price of Salt Lake City, Utah; Marianne and husband, Ernesto Agudo of Concord, California; 17grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and six-plus great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday, Dec 2, 2013, at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Salt Lake City. Interment was at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Salt Lake City.

Visitation was Sunday, Dec 1, 2013, at Starks Funeral Parlor at Salt Lake City.

Donations may be made to the Culbertson Community Foundation for the new Culbertson Library.

Starks Funeral Parlor in Salt Lake City was in charge of arrangements.
