INDIANOLA, Nebraska -- Scott G. Quigley, age 62, of Indianola, passed away at his home on Nov. 23, 2013.

He was born in McCook, Nebraska, on Jan. 3, 1951, to Stanley G. and Mitty (Huggins) Quigley. Scott grew up on the family farm near Indianola. He graduated from Red Willow High School in 1969. He was a member of the 1974 graduating class at University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a degree in Natural Resources and Wildlife Management. While attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, he was a member of the ATO Fraternity. After graduating, Scott returned home to work on the family farm.

On Oct. 28, 1972, he was united in marriage to Kari Ellis at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, Nebraska. To this union three children were born: Spencer, Sadi and Sibyl. Scott was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, the McCook Elks Lodge and a member of the Indianola Rural Fire Board.

He enjoyed hunting deer, coyotes and rattle snakes. Scott also enjoyed going to auctions and selling his unique finds on EBAY. You could find Scott most mornings at Ag Valley with a glass of iced tea while everyone else had a cup of coffee, talking about the weather. He love working on the farm with his family, but also enjoyed his postal routes in Curtis and Indianola. The grandkids always looked forward to helping "Papa" do the morning and evening chores.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Kari of Indianola; his son, Spencer and wife, Courtney of Axtell, his two daughters, Sadi and husband, Sam Halloran of Omaha and Sibyl and husband, Dustin Uerling of North Platte; four grandchildren, Hazie, Ruby, Solara and Hunter; his parents, Stanley and Mitty Quigley of Indianola and brother, Steve and Cindy of Indianola and his sister, Jacque Baker of Lincoln, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday until 6 p.m. at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook and at the Rosary in Indianola.

The Rosary will be recited at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Indianola on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, with Father Thomas McGuire officiating.

Interment will be in the St. Catherine's Cemetery in Indianola.
