LOVELAND, Colorado -- Marjorie Eloyee (Meader) Mullins 89, of Loveland, died Nov. 17, 2013, at Sierra Vista Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 14, 1924, to Delbert Floyd and Opal May Meader of Wilsonville, Nebraska. She attended country schools and graduated from Wilsonville High School with the class of 1943. After graduation, she worked in Cambridge, Nebraska, for the Cambridge Clarion newspaper and later moved to Longmont, Colorado, where she worked for McKie Transfer Trucking Company.
On July 13, 1950, in Widen, West Virginia, she married Johnny Mullins. Johnny was in the Armed Forces. After three years in the service, during which time they were stationed in Arizona, Florida and New Mexico, Majorie and Johnny returned to Wilsonville for a few years where Johnny worked as a mechanic. In 1959, they moved to Loveland where Majorie worked for TRW and retired from Hewlett Packard in 1986 after 15 years of service.
Marjorie had been a member of the Christian Church all her her life. She was very active for many years at First Christian Church in Loveland, participating in thre youth group and women's church circles. She was also the chairperson for wedding receptions at the church and after her retirement she volunteered as the front desk clerk. Marjorie enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with family and friends. She was also an avid Broncos and Rockies fan.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Cecil and wife, Jodi, Charles and wife, Carol, daughter, Lynn and her husband, Orville, three grandsons, three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, infant son, parents and a brother.
Funeral servies were Thursday Nov 21, 2013, at First Christian Church with viewing Wednesday at Viegut Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warriors Project or to First Christian Church in care of Viegut Funeral Home. Condoleces may be left at www.viegutfuneralhome.com
Visitation at Lockenhour-Jones is Friday, Nov. 22, from 2 -7 p.m. Graveside services are Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, 1 p.m. at the Wilsonville Cemetery with Keith Theobald officating.
