OBERLIN, Kansas -- Doug Edward Kolsky, 60, of Oberlin, died Sept. 19, 2013, at his residence.

He was born March 5, 1953, in Los Alamos, New Mexico, to Harwood and Frances (Cilek) Kolsky. He was raised in Saratoga, California. He attended high school in Saratoga and later, San Jose State University.

He lived in San Jose and then in Oberlin. He retired from the Eaton Corporation in San Jose.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances (Cilek) Kiolsky.

Survivors include brothers, Franklin (Michele) Kolsky of Ivins, Utah, Alan (Linda) Kolsky of Novato, California and sister, Barbara (Tom) Myers of Fremont, California.

A memorial service is Saturday Oct. 12, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Nancy Proffitt officiating. Interment is at Big Timer Cemetery in rural Jennings, Kansas.
