McCOOK, Nebraska -- Bernice I. Huxoll, age 95, of McCook, Nebraska, formerly of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday (Oct. 1, 2013), at Hillcrest Nursing Home, in McCook.

She was born April 10, 1918, south of Arapahoe, Nebraska to Ed and Anna (Reitz) Riepe. She married Arthur William Huxoll on Jan. 21, 1936, at Oberlin, Kansas. They lived in several states before returning to Stratton, Nebraska, in 1963, McCook, Nebraska, in 1975 and Holbrook, Nebraska in 1981. After the death of her husband Arthur, she moved to Arapahoe in 1993. In 2002 she moved to the Sunshine Village in Arapahoe.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and LWML.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; sons, Norman and Maurice Huxoll; brothers, George and Edward Riepe; sisters, Dora Wendland and Henrietta Lemen; granddaughter, Melody Wendland; grandson, Maurice Eugene Huxoll Jr., great-granddaughters, Ashley and Tiffany Huxoll, and Alishia Rains and great-grandson, Gary Lee Huxoll.

She is survived by children, Larry Huxoll of White Water, Colorado, Dennis and wife, Jan Huxoll of David City, Nebraska, Delores and husband, Rod Wichizer of Colfax, Washington, Norene Jording of Arapahoe, Nebraska; many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, with Rev. James Moshier officiating. Interment will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, at Arapahoe, Nebraska.

Viewing and visitation is Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe and prior to the service at the church.
