William Robert Frasier

McCOOK, Nebraska -- William Robert Frasier, age 73, of McCook, died at Community Hospital in McCook on Sept. 27, 2013.

He was born in Hastings, Nebraska, on Jan. 25, 1940, to Robert and Virginia (Amon) Frasier. His family moved to McCook where he attended school, graduating from McCook High School in 1958.

William was married to Barbara Clack, the couple were wed for 50 years. Barbara preceded him in death on July 12, 2009.

William was an entrepreneur, an investment mortgage banker, speculated on building homes and at last, he and his wife, Barbara, were co- owners and operators of Willow Ridge Event Planning Center in Morrison, Colorado. They planned weddings, business meetings, company training sessions and conferences. Robert lived in Denver until 1976, when he moved to Alliance. In 1981 until his retirement in 1988, he lived in Morrison, Colorado. Upon retirement he moved back to McCook.

Robert was an artist, using all mediums for his painting. He loved to ski and was a former Elks club member and a County Commissioner for Box Butte County, Alliance, Nebraska. Robert had strong political and social opinions, writing many letters to the editor, always finishing his reviews with "enough said." Robert enjoyed his family time, taking them to motorcycle races all over the states.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James; sister, Mary Ann Stephens and a sister-in-law, Barb Frasier.

William is survived by his daughter, Amy Frasier of Denver; son, Daniel Frasier of McCook, Nebraska; five grandchildren; one sister, Sandy and husband, Jerry Patterson of Hayes Center, Nebraska; and brother, Kenneth Frasier of Kearney.

Celebration of life will be on Tuesday, Oct.1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
