BEAVER CITY, Nebraska -- Kenneth Leroy Harding, 79, of Cozad, Nebraska, died Tuesday (Sept. 24, 2013), at Cozad Community Hospital.

He was born Jan. 18, 1934, near Beaver City to Leroy and Velma R. (Beeler) Harding. He grew up on a farm northwest of Beaver City. He moved to town with his parents in 1968.

He moved to Lexington, Nebraska, in 1987, where he worked for South Central Developmental Services in Cozad.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Beaver City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Oertle.

Survivors include his sister, Marilyn and husband, DeWayne Wolzen of Cambridge, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Maynard Oertle of Lexington and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City with the Revs. Ivan and Joyce Dean officiating. Interment is at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City.

Viewing and visitation is Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City and prior to the service.
