INDIANOLA, Nebraska -- Thomas "Tom" Gene DeBauche passed away Sept. 21, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Tom was born on Sept. 22, 1939, to Russell Earl DeBauche and Hazel Marie Carrier at Whiting Iowa. He was the second of eight children. Tom attended and graduated high school from Onawa, Iowa in 1957.

On June 4, 1958, he married Wilburta "Bertie" Sue Carroll. To this union four children were born. Tim Earl, Terry Lee, Ted Everett, Tina Marie.

Tom was a life long farmer and enjoyed his animals. While farming in Iowa he served on the Pork Producers Board. In 1982 the family moved to Indianola where he worked at Dayco Hose Plant for 20 years. After retiring he became a door greeter at Walmart up until his time of death.

Tom enjoyed his family, gardening, and fishing in his spare time. Tom always had a story to tell and a hug to share.

Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wilburta of Indianola, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Sally DeBauche of Merna, Nebraska; children, Terry and Deborah DeBauche of Elbert Colorado, Tina and Jerry Kircher of Indianola, grandchildren, Joel and Sara DeBauche of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Jodi DeBauche of Bellevue, Nebraska, Spencer DeBauche and fiancee, Hanna Wisner of Durango, Colorado, Ethan DeBauche and special friend Mandy Aldrich of Durango, Colorado, Adrienne DeBauche of Elbert, Colorado, Kenton Kircher of Grand Island, Nebraska, Shelby Kircher and special friend Tony Brown of Trenton, Nebraska, Logan Kircher of Indianola, Emily Kircher of Indianola, two great-grandchildren, Kayleen and Payton DeBauche of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; three brothers, Jim (Nelma) DeBauche, Ed De Bauche and Bill DeBauche; four sisters, Linda (Tom) Black, Judy (Butch) Shaffer, Kathy ( Alan) Foy, and Nancy (Ron) Davis; sister-in-law, Crystal (Gene) Ward and brother-in-law, Jim (Judy) Carroll.

Tom was proceeded in death by his parents and sons, Tim in 2010 and Ted at birth.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Visitation is Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, from 1-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6- 8 p.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook.

Funeral services are Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Grove Cemetery in Indianola.
