BRUSH, Colorado -- Phyllis Ann Moyer, 78, longtime area resident, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush.

She was born April 5, 1935, in Oberlin, Kansas, to Rex and Estel (Hoppas) Macy. Phyllis attended Custer and Oberlin grade schools. In 1949, she moved to Danbury, Nebraska and graduated from Danbury High in 1953. She worked in the health care industry for years as a CNA. She worked at numerous care facilities throughout Morgan County.

On Nov. 29, 1953, she married Doran Moyer in Danbury, Nebraska, at Danbury Union Church. They moved to the Brush area about 53 years ago from Casper, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant child.

Survivors include her husband, Doran Moyer of Brush; children, Joel Moyer of Brush, Deb and husband, Robert Mitchell of Greeley, Colorado, Trudy and husband, Charles Forbes of Northglenn, Colorado and Maryann and Art Dean of Greeley; sister, Alice Faye and Joe Kasson of Wilsonville, Nebraska, 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 4 p.m. at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush, followed by a reception at the Carroll Building, 418 Edison Street in Brush. Internment is Sept. 21, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Oberlin Cemetery, Oberlin, Kansas.
