HAYS, Kansas -- Earle D. Niermeier died Saturday (Sept. 7, 2013), at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.

He was born June 8, 1928, to Fred and Sophie (Holste) Niermeier west of Ludell, Kansas. He attended Atwood High School and graduated in 1946. He married Dorothy Ann Samson on Dec. 26, 1948.

He was a farmer, mechanic, insurance and Archer oil salesmen.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy.

Survivors include his children, Vickie and Paul Mistarka, Dee and Daryl Thornburg, Pam and Joe Koprive, Virginia and Scott Howard and Lori Bearley, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, 10 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atwood with the Rev. Tim Llewellyn officiating. Interment is at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Ludell, Kansas.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Atwood Good Samaritan Society or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
