Wallace Fall Festival includes Cowboy Church

WALLACE, Nebraska -- Don't miss the annual "Cowboy Church" in Wallace as part of their Fall Festival Celebration. On Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Wallace Town Park all are welcome to join Peter Lewis Whitebird for a very special "Cowboy Church" celebration. The festivities will begin with a community-wide potluck supper at 5 p.m. CT. Everyone is welcome and is asked to bring a favorite dish to share. At 6 p.m. Peter Lewis Whitebird will present a family oriented program of music, ministry and fun. Peter is a Native American Chippewa from Topeka Kansas who shares a mix of his down-home country style humor with his uplifting message of encouragement and his faith in Jesus Christ. He is a songwriter and performer who has had 18 top 3 radio hits and 13 number one singles as well as having recorded 6 albums and a live concert. He also recently authored his first book, "Journey To The Center of Life" . He was the pastor of a church in Topeka for 5 years before he began touring full time with his wife, Judy, to share his music and his story. He has performed for churches, large and small, rodeos, prisons, drug and alcohol rehab facilities, fairs, festivals and many other special events.

His stories of the antics of his Arkansas Hillbilly cousin, Bubba Burks will keep everyone laughing and his music will touch the heart of all who hear it. A free will offering will be taken.

The Whitebirds will also be performing at the Hershey Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. CT on Sunday Sept. 22 so if you can not attend the "Cowboy Church" you will still get a chance to see the wonderful performance in Hershey that morning or plan to attend both programs and bring your friends.
