Steven Paul Weskamp

DENVER, Colorado -- Steven Paul Weskamp, 37, of Denver, Colorado, died on Sept. 2, 2013, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Aurora, Colorado, on Feb. 21, 1976, the son of Lonnie and Barbara (Luther) Weskamp.

Steven leaves behind his loving wife of nearly nine years, Melissa, and two young children, Andrew, 8, and Megan, 6. He was a highly respected employee of Western States Fire Protection for 16 years. His hobbies included carpentry, fishing, and hunting. He chose to be laid to rest in Nebraska because of the fond memories he had here.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa and their children, Andrew and Megan of Denver, Colorado; parents, Lonnie and Barbara Weskamp of McCook, Nebraska; sister, Erica and her husband, David Potvin of Littleton, Colorado; brother, Philip Weskamp of Denver, Colorado; sister, Nancy and her husband, Nick Rooney of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nephew, Dawson Potvin of Littleton, Colorado and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

There will be a graveside memorial service at Indianola Saint Catherine's Cemetery on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at 1 pm. A luncheon will follow at St. Catherine's Hall in Indianola.
